Session at SMND organized by Joris van de Vondel and Alejandro Silhanek
Session devoted to “Superconducting Micro- and Nano-Devices” (SMND) at the international Micro and Nano Engineering (MNE) conference that will take place in Leuven (Belgium) from 19 to 23 September 2022. Organized by Joris van de Vondel and Alejandro Silhanek.
The session is tentatively planned for Thursday, September 22th, 2022.
The SMND session will be separated into three sub-sessions, with opening talks by recognized experts in the field:
- Session 1: Superconducting nanosensors
Guest speaker: Prof. Francesco Giazotto (CNR/Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy)
Thermal superconducting quantum Interference proximity transistor
- : Superconductor hybrid devices
Guest speaker: Prof. Erik Bakkers (TU Eindhoven, The Netherlands)
Reducing disorder in hybrid semiconductor/superconductor nanowire devices
- Session 3: Superconducting devices for quantum technology
Guest speaker: Prof. Attila Geresdi (Chalmers university, Sweden)
Andreev bound states in semiconductor nanowires: the road towards quantum technology
The deadline for abstract submission is set on May 2nd, 2022. The template for abstract is available from here. The abstract submission portal is open. Please select “Special session on Superconducting Micro- and Nano- devices (SMND)” during the submission process.
Furthermore, the SMND session will feature a Best SMND Oral Communication award, that will be granted at the end of the session. We are still looking for a sponsor for this award.
