Virtual Grant Mobility between University of Naples Federico II (Italy) and Technical University of Dresden (Germany)

The VGM, Fabrication and characterization of high temperature superconducting junctions made by van Der Waals materials, has been developed in collaboration with the group of Nicola Poccia at the Technical University of Dresden. Several devices by twisted angle Van der Waals 2D- Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x  crystals (high critical superconductor) have been made in argon glovebox. Since the phase diagram of the investigated crystal shows a strong dependence on the included oxygen percentage, the made devices have required contamination and water free environment. First electrical characterization at low temperature has been performed and reveals achieved high quality Josephson junctions.
